Three workers are recovering after they were accidentally splashed with a solution that contained cyanide at the Hilti manufacturing plant in southeast Tulsa.

A Hilti spokesman says the solution is used as part of a process for plating metal parts. Tulsa fire department officials say a broken valve may have caused the accident.

The amounts of cyanide were very small, only a few parts per million. But the workers were taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
