(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A 14-year-old girl has drowned in a swimming pool in west Oklahoma City.

Fire Lieutenant Paul Vail says the girl's friends thought she was playing when they saw her on the bottom of the pool at the Woodlake Apartments Sunday afternoon. An adult pulled her out.

Authorities say the girl was pronounced dead at Integris Baptist Medical Center about 5:17 PM.

The girl's name wasn't released.
