It's Doctors' Week on the News on 6. We've planned several events this week to help keep you and your family healthy.
Monday, the Blue Cross, Blue Shield Caring Van made a stop at the Martin East Regional Library. The van provides free immunizations for all children, newborn to 18 years old.
Caring Van coordinator, Cynthia Hurst, says one in four Oklahoma children are under-immunized and this mobile immunization program is a convenient way to get kids up to date on their shots. "Parents don't have to take off of work. They don't have to leave school or anything like that. It just makes it a whole lot easier to be able to get their children current on their immunizations.â€
On Tuesday, the van will be at the Muskogee Head Start office, on Wednesday, at the Albertsons at 21st and Memorial. Thursday, it will be at the Albertsons at Pine and Peoria and Friday at the Day Center for the Homeless.
You'll need to bring along your child's immunizations documents if you stop by. For more information call 592-9487
