If you take a close look at one neighborhood in Tulsa, you may notice something a little different. The Turner Park neighborhood now has new signs up.

There are 24 ‘Neighborhood’ signs spread across the neighborhood. And residents say they are a source of pride. Darla Carey, Neighborhood Association President, "In bad times and negative budget cuts and things like what is going on with the city, we want to send the message that neighbors can stick together for positive reasons."

Turner Park residents also credit the Tulsa Crime Commission's Alert Neighbor program with helping to lower crime and increase pride in the neighborhood.
