A large fight in the middle a downtown Tulsa street kept Tulsa Police officers busy early Friday morning.
It started around 1 AM near the intersection of 2nd and Detroit. A patrol officer first pulled up on a small fight, which police say rapidly grew into a dangerous situation. Tulsa Police Capt Larry Kinney: "The group involved in the fight originally was just a handful and quickly increased. The officer ended up calling additional officers. We probably had 10 to 15 officers there before it was over. 15 to 20 people were involved in the fight, probably 60 people all together. Fights were breaking out in several parts of the parking lots."
Officers say the crowd was overflow from a nearby bar, and this type of situation is becoming a growing problem downtown. Police were finally able to clear the area.
Two people were arrested, one for having a gun. No names have been released.
