(Tulsa-AP) -- July the Fourth's a holiday for most folks.
But election workers in four Oklahoma counties will be waiting to serve any holiday voters today
State law provides for in-person absentee voting on the Friday, Saturday and Monday before an election. This month, that includes July 4th, July 5th and July 7th.
Melissa Stambaugh, Election Board secretary in Lincoln County, says she has to keep her office open today because the town of Agra, population 356, has a sales tax on Tuesday's ballot.
Cushing in Payne County also has a sales tax election Tuesday, and McAlester in Pittsburg County has a charter change. Grady County has a countywide half-cent sales tax election.
