Police across Oklahoma will be looking for traffic violators during the three day holiday weekend.

They especially plan to crack down on drunk drivers and people not wearing their seat belts. It's part of a national plan called You Drink, You Drive, You Lose.

Officers say the number of people who die in drunk driving crashes, has gone up over the years. They have some life-saving advice for anyone in a car.

Broken Arrow Police Sgt Ed Ferguson, “Obey the speed limit, Drive properly like they know they're supposed to. Wear their seatbelts. They have to make sure, in the event of an accident, and it happens to all of us.”
