(Tulsa-AP) -- University of Tulsa football coach Steve Kragthorpe says the quarterback position is in very good shape despite the loss of Tyler Gooch.

Gooch is transferring to Oklahoma to pursue a baseball career after starting eleven of 12 games last season and six games the year before for the Golden Hurricane.

Only junior James Killian played at Tulsa last season, completing 22 of 52 passes for 208 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions.

The other quarterbacks are transfers Jake Hammond and Landon Keopple, redshirt freshman Shane Davison and true freshman Paul Smith.

Kragthorpe did not name a starter after spring practice and says the job remains wide open.
