A standoff ends peacefully after an escapee held Oklahoma City Police at bay for more than 7 hours. His name, William Snowden.

Snowden was an escapee from an Oklahoma City area Department of Correction facility. Police tell us they got a tip at around 7:40 Monday night that Snowden was at a home in the 2300 block of Southeast 11th.

The house was surrounded. The police tactical team tried to make contact with the man several times but was unsuccessful. A warrant was then issued to enter the property.

Police stormed the house to take Snowden into custody. He did resist arrest and was shocked with a stun gun but no serious injuries were reported.
