Evangelist Oral Roberts spoke Wednesday in Tulsa just five months after undergoing surgery on his heart.

The 85-year-old founder of ORU spoke at the International Charismatic Bible Ministries conference. Roberts remained seated during his message.

He says he believes God has healed him but said it was rough going at times. "The spirit of death was all around me and it seemed to be very little if anything I could do and I can tell you it's an horrible experience.â€

Other ministers at the conference prayed for Oral.

The conference started in 1986 as a way to help ministers spiritually and professionally.
