A task force is now in place in Tulsa County to investigate several recent homicides that police say may be related.

Eight people have died in shootings since late March.

The latest killings came just hours apart yesterday in the same area of North Tulsa. The most recent victim was found hours after the task force was announced.

Police say Calvin Higgins was found dead at a North Tulsa park last night, not far from where another man was shot early yesterday morning.

Detective Mike Huff says Antonio Broadnax was shot to death about 3 a-m while sitting in a car at an intersection in North Tulsa.

The killings also include that of a church pastor who was shot to death this week while waiting in his car for his niece outside an elementary school.
