One person is dead and one in jail after an accident on I-44. A fatal auto pedestrian collision on I-44 late Tuesday evening near Lewis.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers say Edmond Fowler died after he was hit while crossing the interstate around 11:30 Tuesday night.

The driver, 36-year-old Timothy Richards was not hurt. He was taken into custody however on suspicion for DUI.
