An 11-year-old missing Tulsa boy is safe and sound. Darrell Steele Jr. wandered from his home at the Brandywine Apartments Monday morning.

Another boy found Steele Tuesday morning. He was asleep in a ditch near Briarglen Elementary School near 33rd and Garnett. Darrell is back in DHS custody where he will remain until his father goes back to court this week.

News on 6 reporter Patrina Adger talked with the boys' father Tuesday afternoon and Darrell Steele Senior didn't want to talk "on-camera" because he says he doesn't want to jeopardize getting his son back. And will do whatever it takes to get him back.

Steele told me Tuesday that he has a new job and works very early in the morning, so he can't take his son to school. So, he called Roger Clark Elementary last week - to arrange for the boy to be picked up. Steele asked his older son to take the 11 year old to a neighbor's house whose son also takes the same bus. But the teen never saw the boy enter the house. When Steele called the school Monday afternoon to check on him they told him, he never showed up.

A neighbor says he often saw the boy wandering around the complex alone.
