Some soldiers and sailors are starting to come home from the war. Among them is an Oklahoma sailor who spent ten months at sea.

Chief Petty Officer Thomas Whittman arrived to a warm welcome in Tulsa Saturday night. Whittman returned from his stint on the USS Abraham Lincoln. And the entire family was there to welcome home the young man they call "TW."

Hazel Coleman Thomas' grandmother, "real wonderful I'll tell you what, I didn't like for him being there by his self, I meant you know without family."

Amy Price, Thomas' sister, "He missed all the holidays and he missed his baby niece being born in February, we thought he was going to be here for it but he didn't make it so. He's here now, that's all that matters."
