A man is dead after he was hit by a tractor-trailer on I-44 in west Tulsa. It happened near the Turner Turnpike entrance.

Witnesses say the man crossed the westbound lanes and climbed over the median. Several cars swerved to avoid hitting him, but the truck couldn't. One woman says there was nothing they could do. â€œHe hit him so we stopped. The lady kept on asking me to help him and I said how do you want me to help him, he's dead.â€

The victim's name has not been released.
