An "all clear" from Union Public Schools on Monday afternoon following a lockdown involving four Union Public Schools. Tulsa Police were trying to arrest a suspect on felony drug warrants at an Albertsons store on Garnett Road, when the man, 28-year-old Christopher Allred, fled the scene.
Witnesses saw Allred run into nearby Moore Elementary School. That school, along with three others, shut down their campuses for more than two hours while Tulsa and Broken Arrow Police cordoned off the neighborhood and conducted house-to-house searches.
All the parents we spoke to were pleased at how Union Schools handled the incident. Students were released at the normal time.
Tulsa Police have since called off the search for the suspect. Allred was last spotted around eight o'clock Monday night in south Tulsa.
