OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Spencer Wyman's two-run homer in the sixth inning helped Oklahoma beat Oklahoma State 6-5 in bedlam baseball Sunday at the Southwestern Bell Bricktown Ballpark.

The Sooners (16-24, 4-14 Big 12) led the game after scoring two runs on a double by Eddie Cornejo in the third.

The Cowboys (28-15, 10-8 Big 12) answered back in the bottom of the third scoring a run on a homer by outfielder Craig Bartosh.

Neither team scored until the sixth inning when Greg Kish scored on a flied out to center field. Wyman's two-run homer batted in another two runs.

Oklahoma State's Chris Guiterrez scored on a flied out to right field by Josh Fields in the bottom of the sixth. A home run by John Urick brought in another run for the Cowboys.

Oklahoma pitcher Buddy Blair took the win holding the Cowboys to five hits and three runs in 5 2/3 innings. Blair had one strike out.

Cowboy pitcher Joe Weaver suffered the loss allowing five hits and four runs in 5 2/3 innings. Weaver had four strike outs.

Oklahoma 4 New Orleans 3

NEW ORLEANS (AP) _ Jeff Pickler drew a bases-loaded walk in the ninth inning to score the winning run in the Oklahoma RedHawks' 4-3 win over the New Orleans Zephyrs Sunday.

The Zephyrs (11-12) scored two runs in the third inning to take a 2-0 lead as Eric Bruntlett had an RBI single and scored as Jason Lane grounded into a double play.

The RedHawks (14-10) tied the game at two with single runs in the sixth and seventh innings. Jason Jones had an RBI single in the sixth and Donnie Sadler added an RBI single in the seventh.

The game stayed tied until the ninth as Oklahoma capitalized on the wildness of Zephyrs reliever Miguel Saladin. Saladin (1-2) walked three batters, hit one, allowed a hit and two runs in the ninth to suffer the loss.

The Zephyrs scored one in the ninth, but C.J. Nitkowski retired John Buck with runners on first and second to end the game. Nitkowski took the win to improve to 1-1
