OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Additional charges may be filed against a U.S. Marine accused of molesting a young girl at the Midwest City recruiting office where he was assigned last year.

Ransom Travis Scott has been charged in Oklahoma County District Court with 23 counts of sexually assaulting the 8-year-old girl between Feb. 1, 2002, and Oct. 30.

Scott is accused of oral sodomy, indecent and lewd acts with a child under the age of 16, exhibition of obscene materials to a minor child and indecent exposure.

Scott, 29, also showed the girl pornographic movies there, prosecutors allege. He could be facing charges in Cleveland County, police said.

Scott was removed from his assignment at the Midwest City office in October and is awaiting a discharge, military officials said.

The victim's mother received a protective order against Scott because he continued to show up at her home after he was told to stay away.

The woman said there was also a military protection order against Scott.
