A man arrested for participating in a pit bull dog-fighting ring won't serve prison time. Steven King was arrested during an undercover bust in Creek County last November.
King was given a 5 year deferred sentence and fined $2,000 for allegedly encouraging the dog fighting.
The owners of the property are set to stand trial next month. James and Jeanne Fiarris face 53 felony counts. At the time of the bust they owned 30 pit bulls.
All but 11 of the dogs have since been sold.
