(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The interim director of the state Tourism and Recreation Department has cut three high-level management positions since he started.

Ralph McCalmont started work on Thursday. He decided the agency no longer needs a director of state parks, a director of human resources or a deputy executive director.

Officials say two of the people filling those positions resigned and one was terminated.

McCalmont says he needed to realign his management team and cut costs.
