A Tulsa woman is thankful for next-door neighbors who risked their necks to save hers. 86-year-old Mildred Maxwell heard someone breaking the glass on her back door and tearing the screen, Saturday evening.
She called her neighbor, then 911. Her neighbor and his brother-in-law ran over, tackled the burglar, wrestled him to the ground and sat on him until Tulsa Police got there.
“I love em, I love em. I'll never get through thanking them for this. I wish everybody had neighbors like that."
Police arrested 40-year-old Earnest Lee. They say he has a number of arrests dating back 20 years, mostly drugs and break-ins.
