(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Four people have filed for the Senate seat vacated when veteran Senator Gene Stipe resigned amid a federal investigation.

All of those filing Monday -- the first day of the 3-day filing period -- were Democrats. The primary special election is set for May 13th and the general election is scheduled for June 10th.

Those that filed are Former Representative Lloyd Fields of McAlester, Representative Richard Lerblance of Hartshorne, Charla Sloan of McCurtain and Clif Davis of McAlester.

Sloan operates the KiBois Area Transit and Davis is the director of business and industry on the McAlester campus of Eastern Oklahoma State.
