Tulsa's Philharmonic is back in business tonight, at least temporarily.
Mayor LaFortune and the Tulsa Performing Arts Center Trust organization announced today a series of three concerts over the next three months.
The Philharmonic is still struggling financially, so the money for the upcoming shows will come from the Trust. The money spent on tickets will be put into escrow in case something happens. However, ticket-holders who were out money when the Philharmonic canceled its past concerts still won’t see their money again.
Mayor Bill LaFortune, Tulsa: "The Tulsa PAC trust empathizes with the Philharmonic patrons who purchased season subscriptions. However, with more than 800 Masterwork subscribers and more than a thousand POP subscribers, it's fiscally impossible for the Trust to honor those tickets purchased through the Philharmonic."
