Oklahoma's first female general and the nation's first female commander of a state Air National Guard will be honored at a ceremony on Tuesday.

Governor Henry will pin Rita Aragon with her new rank.

Aragon is being promoted from colonel to brigadier general and will become the state's assistant adjutant general for air, the senior member of the Air National Guard.

Aragon says her promotion shows that today's military looks at potential and capability, not gender.
