TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) _ Minnesota beat Oklahoma State 7-6 on Sunday, finishing its four-game trip to Arizona with a 2-2 record.
Brian Bull gave up two earned runs in five and one-third innings of relief for his first win. Matt Fornasiere went 3-for-4 with three RBI, and Andy Hunter drove in two runs.
Scott Baker took the loss for Oklahoma State, giving up seven runs in three and one-third innings.
For the third time in four games, Minnesota scored in the first inning; Fornasiere singled home Scott Welch to give the Gophers a 1-0 lead.
Minnesota scored three runs in the third. Welch hit a double, scoring on a sacrifice fly by Fornasiere, and Hunter tripled to score Luke Appert and David Roach.
Oklahoma State answered with three runs in the bottom of the inning to make it 4-3. The Cowboys had five straight hits, including an RBI by Ryan Olivo, Jose Virgil and Josh Fields.
Minnesota scored three runs in the fourth to extend its lead to 7-3.
