(Oklahoma City-AP) -- A Red Flag Fire Alert has been issued Friday for Oklahoma.

The state Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry says the alert is in effect statewide because of extremely dry conditions, warm temperatures and high winds.

Outdoor burning should be avoided when wind speeds are 20 miles per hour or more.
