(Stillwater-AP) -- A grand jury has recommended the removal of an unnamed Yale Public Schools official.
The Payne County grand jury issued its final report Monday night after a weeklong investigation.
The name of the official was withheld at the request of state Assistant Attorney General Lisa Goodspeed. It will be released at a hearing Friday.
The grand jury's report does not specify the reason for the recommendation and does not issue any indictments.
The Yale school system has been in turmoil since the summer, when residents questioned activities of school administrators and school board members.
The school board voted in September to fire James Cox as superintendent. Board members claimed he used district property for personal use and had misled the board on an insurance matter.
An Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation inquiry concluded that Cox committed no crimes.
