OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Fires at two separate apartment complexes left at least nine people homeless Sunday.
They were the latest in a string of apartment fires that the Oklahoma City Fire Department has extinguished in the past four days.
Authorities said two of the fires are suspicious, including one that killed a 35-year-old woman.
Maj. Brian Stanaland said a stovetop fire spread through an 8-unit apartment building Sunday morning, causing $420,000 in damage. No one was injured.
Firefighters also responded to a fire Sunday at an apartment complex where two units were ablaze. No one was injured in the fire, which caused almost $38,000 in damage, Stanaland said.
Investigators said they are looking into the cause of the fire, which they described as suspicious.
Katie Lee Citty of Oklahoma City died Saturday from burns to over half her body from a fire that engulfed her apartment on Thursday. Investigators said the fire was set by an arsonist, but no arrests have been made.
