(Tahlequah-AP) -- A man who resigned as an Oklahoma Wildlife Commissioner and a congressional staffer after his travel expenses were questioned, has been hired by the Cherokee County district attorney.
Vyrl Keeter will be office administrator for District Attorney Richard Gray.
Gray says he's aware of the travel expense issue and has no problems with hiring Keeter. Keeter says he believes the issue is behind him.
Keeter resigned as a wildlife commissioner and as Congressman Brad Carson's district director last March. He repaid 66-hundred, 50-dollars to the state because of mistakes in his travel expense reports.
The resignation came following allegations Keeter may have claimed the same travel expenses from the commission and from Carson.
