The nation's biggest ceramic tile-maker is moving into Muskogee. Dal-Tile, a Dallas-based company, broke ground at the Port of Muskogee this week.

The company will build a $58-million plant there and hire about 400 people. They chose Oklahoma for the new plant over Tennessee and Arkansas. Clay Orme with Dal-Tile, "We wanted to be on a port city because we're going to be making porcelain tile. Some of the ingredients may be imported from overseas.”

The new facility will be about 635,000 square feet and could expand to a million square feet over several years.
