(Athens, Georgia-AP) -- Texas diver Troy Dumais won his third straight one-meter springboard national championship in the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.

The Longhorns are in first place after the meet's first session at the University of Georgia.

Stanford captured both relays contested last night, including a comeback win over Texas in the 400-yard medley relay.

Texas holds a 20-point lead, 163 points to 143 for the Cardinal.

Second-ranked Auburn may have seen its national title hopes end with a disqualification in the medley relay.

Arizona is third with 104 points, followed by Florida with 91 and Auburn with 83-and-a-half.

Auburn last year dropped from third to seventh when it was penalized 97 points for missing a race.

Host Georgia is in 11th place with 47 points.

Bulldog freshman Robert Margalis had the fastest qualifying time in the 500 freestyle, but he lost his goggles as he dived into the pool in the finals and finished eighth, 12 seconds off the winning pace.

Southern Cal sophomore Klete Keller defended his title in the 500, winning in 4:12.83.
