NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Austin Mix struck out seven in six innings and Matt Bose hit his third home run of the season as Oklahoma beat Arkansas 7-1 Tuesday night.
Mix (3-1) walked four and had three wild pitches, but gave up only the one run. David Purcey pitched the final 2 2-3 innings for his first save, allowing no hits and striking out four.
The Sooners (12-4) scored two runs in the first inning off Jonathan Richmond (2-2). Richmond gave up three more runs in the fourth after the Razorbacks (8-6) had scored in the top of the inning to cut the deficit to 2-1.
Jason Fransz and Spencer Wyman had two hits each for Oklahoma. Kirk McConnell had two of Arkansas' five hits.
