Tulsa's Police Department got an award for having smart cops Tuesday.
The Police Association for College Education presented the award to Chief Ron Palmer. It honors the department's effort to achieve higher education. Tulsa is one of only 38 departments in the nation to require its officers to have a college degree.
Out of 794 sworn officers, Tulsa has 63 with advanced degrees, 571 with Bachelor's degrees and 108 with Associates degrees.
