TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Oral Roberts University basketball player Reggie Borges, who averaged 31 points and 7.5 rebounds in two games, has been named Mid-Continent Conference player of the week.

Borges came off the bench to score a career-high 40 points in a 94-64 victory over Chicago State that gave the Golden Eagles the No. 2 seed in the conference tournament. He was 18-of-22 from the field, scored 18 straight points in the first half and 16 in a row in the second half.

Borges also scored 22 points in an 82-75 loss to Southern Utah.
