A man running for Tulsa's City Council went to court Monday morning on a drunk driving arrest.

John Westbrook gave up his right to a preliminary hearing and will proceed to trial. Records show Westbrook has previous convictions for drunk driving and domestic assault and battery.

Westbrook is a Republican; he is currently unemployed and running for the District 3 seat on the council.
