(Boston-AP) -- Experts warn that obesity is becoming a major dietary concern in the farthest reaches of the planet.
Weight problems have long been recognized as a health hazards in industrialized nations, but the same worries are emerging in poorer nations.
Researchers say the trend toward obesity is affecting those who migrate to rich nations, and those who stay put.
In many parts of the world, malnutrition and obesity now exist together.
One is a problem of the very poor, the other of a growing middle class.
However, An American Association for the Advancement of Science report finds that malnutrition remains a far more important concern.
