A major Tulsa road project is one step closer to reality.

Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating has announced plans to finance two major projects. That includes one in Tulsa along I-44 between the Arkansas River bridge and Yale. The other is in Oklahoma City.

They would be paid for by $250-million in Garvee bonds, which rely on federal transportation dollars. Keating is a member of that committee. He says his plan should be a great boost for economic development in our state.
