The smash Disney Broadway hit musical "Aida" opened at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center this week for a two week run.

Celebrity Attractions chose the occasion to announce its new season, which opens in November with Meredith Wilson's "The Music Man."

A new "Aida" made her debut in Tulsa. British actress Paulette Ivory says she's thinking only of staying focused, calm, and delivering a great performance. "There's a huge emotional roller coaster that Aida goes through. So I have to be on top of that vocally, physically, mentally, spiritually -- it's just huge, really."

Elton John wrote music for Aida. The show runs through February 2nd at the TPAC.
