The victim of last week's rape, made a plea for help, and Green Country answered.
Tulsa's Call Rape received hundreds of dollars in donations thanks to a story we told you about Tuesday night on the News on Six. The woman who says she was beaten and sexually assaulted by David Arkinson contacted Call Rape for money to buy a plane ticket to leave Tulsa.
The victim's daughter told the News on Six her mother is so afraid to go home, that she wants to move hundreds of miles away, closer to her family. "She needs to go somewhere she can psychologically and physically feel safe and I wouldn't feel good just leaving her here." Chryl Poffenberger with Call Rape: "It's just not feasible for her to go by car or by bus, fly back with her daughter."
People donated $600 to cover the woman's airfare. She and her daughter left Tulsa Wednesday morning.
