Tulsa's homicide rate went up during the year 2001.

The city had 40 homicides last year. That compares to 32 in 2000. Six of last year's cases remain unsolved.

Suicides were down however; Tulsa had 66 suicides last year versus 75 the year before, the highest year ever.
