A Sapulpa home went up in smoke Monday night. It happened just two miles west of Highway 97 on 81st Street.
Firefighters say the home was fully engulfed when they arrived. No one was injured in the fire. Firefighters say the house stood empty while a family was trying to sell it. And they say getting a late start wasn't the only problem they faced fighting this fire. Sapulpa Assistant Fire Chief Jim Gass, "We have a water problem without location. We're having to shuttle water to this one. It's hampering our fire attack."
Gass says the nearest fire hydrant was a mile away. Investigators estimate the loss will be between $150,000 and $200,000.
