CLAREMORE, Okla. (AP) _ A national cable channel plans to broadcast a four-hour television program Friday about Oklahoma cowboy humorist Will Rogers.
C-Span will broadcast a 2 1/2-hour show that was taped at Claremore's museum about Rogers last September. The show, which begins at 7 a.m., headlines Steven K. Gragert, editor of the ``Papers of Will Rogers'' for Rogers State University.
At 9:35 a.m, the cable channel will show Doug Watson performing his one-man Rogers show. The show was taped from Watson's performance in Park City, Kan.
Rogers, who died in 1935, authored six books, wrote 4,000 syndicated newspaper columns and many magazine articles. He stared in 71 movies during his career as a wild west show performer.
A museum dedicated to him in Claremore has nine galleries.
