We hosted a Red Cross blood drive here at KOTV Thursday. The turnout wasn't great, probably because of the holidays.

But this is the time of the year when the blood supply is usually at a critically low level. Blood donor Cora Molton knows that. "Because we have so many drivers that don't watch what they're doing and have accidents that they need blood and it's always short at the holiday season."

The Red Cross says each pint of donated blood ends up helping three different people.
