TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Tyrone Tiggs scored a career-high 22 points _ including 19 in the first half _ as Oral Roberts beat Tennessee State 87-71 on Wednesday.

Markius Barnes added 19 points and Luke Spencer-Gardner had 18 and a game-high six assists for the Golden Eagles (2-5).

Kyle Rolston led the Tigers (3-4) with 22 points despite fouling out with 7:13 left.

After leading 42-23 at halftime, ORU (2-5) extended its advantage to 50-29 with 17:24 left.

Tennessee State went on an 18-4 run over the next five minutes to get within 54-47, but would not get any closer.

TSU trailed 68-60 with 7:39 left before ORU went on a 12-5 run in the next three minutes to seal the victory.

ORU shot 50 percent from the field, but held TSU to just 34 percent. The Golden Eagles outrebounded the Tigers 41-25.
