Many US soldiers fighting in Afghanistan won't get turkey and dressing this Thanksgiving, but one soldier will get a slice of home from some Tulsa Girl Scouts.
Tulsa Girl Scout Troop 1083 has adopted Private Edwin Claudio. The girls are sending him a care package, jam-packed with the comforts of home. And, each of them is sending him a letter and a picture. Allison Eades, Girl Scout: "I hope you have a happy holiday and I will be thinking of you on my holiday. I watch the news when I can so that I know what's going on in the world."
Parents say this is the girl's way to lift the spirits of a soldier far away from home.
