LAS VEGAS (AP) _ Oklahoma State relied on depth to offset the fatigue of playing its a fifth game in six nights.
Frederik Jonzen scored 23 points, including 21 in the second half, and four teammates scored in double figures as the No. 15 Cowboys beat Texas Christian 95-77 in the final of the Las Vegas Tournament on Wednesday night.
Jonzen added 13 rebounds for Oklahoma State, which outscored the Horned Frogs 27-7 in the first 8:10 of the second half.
``One thing were trying to do is not have everybody play 35 minutes a game,'' Oklahoma State associate head coach Sean Sutton said. ``We like to keep guys fresh on the court. Our depth should be a plus.''
Tournament MVP Maurice Baker had 18 points of Oklahoma State. Ivan McFarlin added 14 points and Antoine Broxsie 10. Baker also had 10 rebounds and six assists.
Jonzen made only one of four shots in the first half, but scored 21 points in the first 12 minutes of the second half.
``You get a little fatigued,'' Jonzen said. ``It was tough, but we grew up a lot.''
Marlon Dumont led TCU (3-1) with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Bingo Merriex scored 18, Junior Bryant added 15 and Corey Santee 12. Jamal Brown had 10 rebounds.
``The first 10 minutes of the second half were atrocious,'' TCU coach Billy Tubbs said. ``It was a lesson. They're a good team. This was a message, but I think well be a better team.''
The Cowboys led 48-41 at the half and extended their lead as the Horned Frogs shot 3-for-13.
``We played better defense in the first five games of the season than we did in the exhibitions,'' Sutton said.
``Sometimes, we play like a top 15 team, but at times we play like an average basketball team. Tonight, we made our shots, we did a good job on defense and we got a big lead.''
The Cowboys built a 34-21 advantage with 6:48 remaining. TCU went on a 15-6 run and closed within 40-36 with 3:01 left.
Merriex led the run with eight points, including two 3-pointers.
