Melted furniture and smoky walls are all that's left of a Tulsa family's apartment after a fire ripped through early Monday morning.

The fire happened at the Lakewood apartments on 36th and Lakewood. Firefighters were able to put out the fire, but not before it caused about $17,000 worth of damage.

Investigators say the cause was accidential. Three people at home at the time of the fire escaped without injury.
