A man charged in the drive-by shooting death of a young Tulsa mother was sentenced Thursday to life in prison without parole.
23-year-old Eric Cooks was convicted of killing 21-year-old Atlanta Jacobs. The shooting happened on October 4th, 2000 in Broken Arrow. Jacobs was riding beside her young son in the back seat of a car when she was shot in the head.
The judge also sentenced Cooks to 20 years for firing a weapon from a vehicle, and fined him $10,000.
