A Tulsa hospital is cutting 44 beds due to a nursing shortage. St Francis Hospital in Tulsa is eliminating 44 beds; saying part of the reason is a shortage of nurses.

A St Francis hospital spokesperson says the hospital is licensed for 918 beds, but usually operates about 650.The beds being eliminated are in each department except pediatrics and intensive care. No services or wings are being closed.
