(Tulsa-AP) -- The Tulsa Golden Hurricane will play host to up-and-coming Fresno State Saturday at Skelly Stadium.

The Bulldogs are ranked Number 11 in this week's AP poll after wins over Colorado, Oregon State and Wisconsin. Saturday's game is the Western Athletic Conference opener for both teams.

Tulsa last played August 30 in a 51-nothing win over Division One-Double A Indiana State. TU officials want football fans across the state to turn out for the game.

Oklahoma is idle and Oklahoma State plays at Texas A-M, leaving the Fresno State-Tulsa game the only major college contest in the state.
